Per Cramér Dean of the School of Business, Economics and Law for another six years

A new management has been appointed at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. Per Cramér remains in the role of Dean, and will be accompanied in the management team by a new Deputy Dean and two new Vice Deans.

On June 30, the term of office expires for the current Board and the management team. In February, elections were held and the new management has now been appointed.

The new management team for the period 01/07/2018 to 30/06/2024 will consist of:

Per Cramér, Dean. Per is professor of International Law. His main areas of research concern the external identity of the European Union with a special focus on the relationship between the Common Foreign and Security Policy and the Common Commercial Policy of the EU. Among his assignments are member of the EQUIS Accreditation Board and the AACSB European Advisory Council and the Board of the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies, SIEPS. He has been Dean of the School of Business, Economics and Law since 2010.

Marie Stenseke, Deputy Dean, with responsibility, among other things, for our work on sustainability and work environment. She is also my deputy. Marie is professor of human geography and her research concerns biodiversity, nature conservation and landscape management from a social science perspective. She has several assignments within the academy and in society, e.g co-chair, Multidisciplinary Expert Panel of UN:s Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity & Ecosystem Services (IPBES).

Ewa Wikström, Vice Dean with responsibility for educational matters. Professor of management and organisation. Her research areas are leadership, team work, communication och cooperation across organizational and professional boundaries in complex organizational environments. She is currently conducting a study on organizational capability focusing on leadership and age management for delayed retirement. For many years, she has several assignments within the academy and in society regarding sustainable leadership and work environment.

Ola Olsson, Vice Dean with responsibility for research and postgraduate education. Professor of economics. His main research interests are long-run economic development, economic growth, political economy and the economics of conflict. Former member of the SIDA Research Council and co-editor of Economic Inquiry.

Three representatives of the students, appointed by the Student Association (for a term of one year). The trade unions appoint representatives with attendance and right of expression.
