Information about the rebuildnings

On this page you will find up-to-date information about the work and what days there is a risk of disturbing noise:

This happens week 49 (2 - 6 December)

Floor D3

  • Work with ceilings.
  • Installation of moldings, wooden panels and kitchen equipment
  • Paving on the facade .
  • Final cleaning
  • Inspection (Thursday)

Floor L2

  • No reported work this week

Floor L3

  • Plastering and painting, tiling, flooring.
  • Work with ceilings
  • Work on interior

 Cleaning centre, E3

  • Construction work, tiling

Other work in progress:

  • A staircase with seating areas is built between L2 and L3 (Monday - Friday)
  • Excavation work outside the pub entrance. This is a preparatory measure for demolition of house F. The measure affects the evacuation of the pub, which is handled through temporary passages over the shaft.
  • Work with the new transformer station. It will be relocated to Lilla Bergsgatan. The transformer station will be about 30 square meters in size and stand up about 1 meter above ground. The relocation of the transformer station enables a future entrance from Haga Kyrkogata into the School. The work will continue until December.
  • Work with new windows on D3, both the side facing the restaurant and the side facing the garage. Work is expected to continue through week 49. A scaffolding has been built over the garage driveway. The driveway works as usual.

Recycling:

Akademiska Hus will within the next two weeks conduct tests on bricks, marble and limestone. It's so called destructive samples to see how disassembly of the materials can take place and how reusable it is. On the exterior facade and brick wall indoors, about twenty bricks will be picked out and analyzed. Inside, a test will be done in 2-4 places to see how the marble floor and the windowsills in limestone could possibly be reused. Akademiska Hus runs a recycling project together with the IVL Swedish Environmental Institute, where the brick building at the School is part of a pilot project.
